Foshan United Medical Technologies Ltd (UMT) has actively collaborated with business and regulatory bodies on the development of product standards for silicone scar gel products. At the end of project, a scientific paper on the evaluation of scar dressing has been written by the leading project scientist Ms. Peng Wanwen.

The paper titled “The Evaluation and its Method on Moisture Retention of Silicone Scar Gel” has been recently accepted for publication by a well-known scientific journal (Journals of Popular Standardization, 2022(22):90-93).

The article reported a new test method for the evaluation of the moisture retention properties of silicone scar gel so that a creditable scientific assessment can be established for the performance of scar dressings. 8 commercial silicone scar gels from Chinese market have been tested and reported in this paper.
